So, a year has passed by and I have a neat group of four friends, Cristella, Olivia, John, and Sophia. Although I still am an introvert, I feel warm in their company, for some reason.
But these guys are not all that creative with games that they play. Most of the time, all that we play are old school games like hide and seek, tag, and sometimes treasure hunt. Last month, we were playing treasure hunt. We were assigned to find a seashell that Sophia had buried somewhere in the yard. But I found something much cooler, a glimmering stone. At first, I thought that it was just like any other stone. But, later that night, it started glimmering and even vibrating. The next day I told that to my friends. Sophia said that it might be some kind of a magical rock that has a purpose.
From that day we have been playing treasure hunt frequently in search of similar rocks. So far, that was the only one we found so far. One day we decided to play a game of hide and seek. John said that he would be the seeker. He started counting backwards from 50 as we went out to a place to hide. Just then Cristella came up with an “excellent” idea. It was due to her idea that this novel came into creation. She said that hiding in the woods would be an excellent idea. Since only 15 seconds were round the clock, we bolted into the woods right away.
There were all kinds of vegetation in the forest, oak trees, birch trees and dense shrubbery. It was a lush, green Jungle. There were flowers and butterflies everywhere. Olivia went ahead and plucked out a flower. That was a huge mistake! As soon as she plucked the flower, the ground started rumbling and everyone started running as if they were in a zombie apocalypse. As we ran ahead, the atmosphere started turning hazy. When the mist cleared, we found that the mist had led us all astray. I found myself in front of a huge treehouse which I do not know who built but it looked awesome. I was really looking up to scanning this treehouse all alone just when someone patted on my back.
It was Cristella. I really wished her to not be there. She is no. 2 in my most hated list, of course, after John. I really wanted to go home but that is not a wise option if one is stranded in middle of a vast woodland! The treehouse was a double storey house. We went upstairs to sleep. Inside, the treehouse was pretty much decent. I felt very awkward sharing a bed with someone so I slept on the floor and let her sleep on the bed. However, in the middle of the night, Cristella fell off the bed on my stomach. I yelled in agony. I also heard some rumbling below our floor.
The next day I woke up at around noon that stupid girl doused me by throwing water from her bottle. From that day she has surpassed John in the most hated list and surely deserves the crown. I got really frustrated and left Cristella in the treehouse and came downstairs. She followed me but I pretended not to notice her. Just then someone called out to us…
